What is NetBooks? |
|
NetBooks allows anyone with a web browser to access thousands of online books from major publishers. It provides a searchable and customizable "just-in-time" reference library that can help you enhance your individual productivity.
NetBooks is Verizon's corporate implementation of ReferencewareSM from Books24x7, and is provided to you by Verizon’s Workforce Development and Performance Management organization.
Note: You cannot download or print an entire book. However you are permitted to download or cut and paste any part of the book (i.e., a few pages, a chapter, diagrams, or code samples). |

Please be aware of the following restrictions: |
|
- You must have INTERNET ACCESS in order to register and use these collections.
- You must be a VERIZON EMPLOYEE. Contractors may not use the collections.
- During the registration process YOU MUST LIST YOUR VERIZON ID as your username and YOU MUST LIST A VALID VERIZON EMAIL ADDRESS as your email address.
- Upon login, you will have the option to have your computer fill in your Username and Password for future login. This information is stored locally on your computer. If you use multiple computers, you will have to manually enter this data the first time you use that computer to access NetBooks.
- You must register from a computer located inside the Verizon firewall before you will be able to access this program from home. Please ask your Supervisor if you need help with the initial sign-on.

Access From Home |
|
You must register using the information shown above. Once you have successfully registered and have your password, you will be able to access NetBooks from any computer connected to the Internet. Simply, go to http://www.books24x7.com and select Login from the menu at the top of the page. Enter your Username (VZID) and password. |
